AIKC COE is one of the oldest private B.Ed colleges in Mumbai University. The Institution was established in the year 1989. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an undergraduate professional degree programme where the student teachers are trained to work as a secondary, higher secondary and junior college teachers. The minimum qualification for admission in the programme is to have a degree from any discipline with at least 50% marks. The duration of the course is for 2 years as per the NCTE 2014 regulations.
The College has the capacity of one unit of 50 students each year. The medium of instruction is in English. Students can choose Urdu as a medium for writing their theory papers. Urdu medium students are given additional support for writing their papers in Urdu. The college offers English, Urdu, History, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Science and Mathematics as Methods of teaching. The programme is conducted in 4 semesters with a theory and practicum component for each semester.
